Mouth Cancer Awareness Walk 2013
This year, it was the oldest and the youngest members of Apple Dental Studios that lead the charge. Patients of the practice once again gave generously towards this event.
We met in London’s Hyde Park on Sunday 29th September where the Mouth Cancer Foundation held its 8th annual Mouth Cancer 10 Km Awareness Walk, designed to raise much needed funds and awareness to combat all head and neck cancers.
Almost 600 walkers turned out to ‘step out and make a difference.’ It was a pleasant day with a cool wind to keep the walkers cool. Despite a couple of blisters and a wobbly knee, the team finished in a respectable time.
We would like to say a heartfelt "Thank you" to all our patients who donated and supported the Apple Dental Studios team.
Together, we helped to raise over £250 for this worthwhile charity.
Dental Radiography Qualification
Pablika Shrestha successfully completed the Dental Radiographic course for Dental Nurses in 2012. This course ran over 6 months and helped Pablika to enhance her dental knowledge. She is now qualified to help with taking dental X-rays, positioning the patient and operating the X-ray equipment and accessories. This is a huge help to both the Dentist and the patient, helping to make the process quicker and more comfortable for the patient while allowing the Dentist to concentrate on getting images that will provide the most accurate and useful information.
